Desktop browser support

With the deprecation of native plug-ins such as NPAPI, the DASH-based OpenTV Player SDK for Browsers enables you to go plug-in free, and works across all browsers where EME/MSEEncrypted Media Extensions / Media Source ExtensionsW3C specifications that enable communications between browsers and DRM software. is supported.

To continue support for HLS, OpenTV Player provides a PPAPIPepper Plugin APITechnology used to develop plug-ins for web browsers. extension for the Chrome browser and a plug-in extension for the Internet Explorer and Safari browsers.
